The Great Wall

IThis morning, we ate a quick breakfast and then headed toward a massive bus bound for The Great Wall. Our guide, Jason, shared with us some of China's rich culture including the multiple Dynasties that ruled over China.

When we arrived at The Great Wall, we were welcomed with a mixture of rain, sleet and snow. We walked through gate 3 (last year we were at gate 4 so a different part of the wall). The steps were untreated and treacherous. From our group, one couple made it to the top (Jenny and Chris). Joel made it about 3/4 of the way. We were there about two hours.

On the back from The Great Wall,  we had lunch at a jade market and factory. We were served seven dishes of different Asian food to try.

We went to the Chaoyang Theater in Beijing. It's mainly an acrobatic show with visual stimulation, fitness and skill.

When we returned to the hotel, Joel bought me a cake to celebrate my birthday!  Thanks honey!! 😊. Joel opened the refrigerator and found another cake we believe is from our adoption agent. Super nice!
