Luoyang Trip

We woke up this morning around 3 AM (again). We ate breakfast quickly and then met Rita (our adoption rep) by 7:40 AM to make the train station on time. The founder of our adoption agency, Joshua Zhong, made a surprise visit to our hotel and we got to talk with him for a few minutes.

We walked to the subway which was pretty treacherous since everything was covered with ice. The subway conveniently led to the train station. We took the bullett train at 190 mph to Luoyang. Once we got to Luoyang, we were able to apply for Jason's passport. Afterward, we had a few minutes, so we all went to Pizza Hut which was just a ten minute taxi ride. We discovered that Jason likes pizza and potatoe soup. This momma was happy to see him eat. We rode on the bullett train back which was nice as we were able to see some of the countryside and hilly terrain. By the time we got back to the subway, the ice had started to thaw.

We went out for Asian food with Lisa, Eric, and kids. It was a good meal with great company. The last place we went was Walmart for a couple of items.

We got to FaceTime with the kids which was nice to see their beautiful faces. We miss them so much. It didn't take long tonight for Jason to fall asleep. It's been such a long day. 😊
