We were fortunate enough to skate through the dossier preparation with few complications along the way. At this point, we began waiting for the day our child whom we have yet to meet, but love so dearly, to come home.

Our New Journey
After returning home from China in a bustling household with four kids, Joel and I had't quite expected God to lead us once again to the path of adoption. Despite our assumptions, He had other plans for us. We faithfully completed CCAI's application for adoption on January 8th, 2015. Excited and nervous (still just as much so as we were with our first adoption), we began to patiently wait for our approval, which came on January 15th, 2015. At this point, we started gathering the necessary documents to begin the compilation of our dossier. In less than four months, on May 5th, our I-800 document was approved. Joel and I were awed seeing all that God had in store for us. We introduced to the kids the idea of having a new sibling here soon, to which they all were excited about. Each night, they began to pray for their new brother. This warmed our hearts in such a time of distress with the prospect of being matched soon.
